Course Description

The INSPIRE training programme is designed to equip professionals across the Performing Arts sector with the skills, tools, and innovative practices needed to embed sustainability into every stage of live production.

Aimed at artistic directors, stage directors, set and scenic designers, production managers, facilities managers, and stage technicians, the programme addresses the entire value chain of the performing arts sector and will additionally serve as a resource for VET and HE educators to train future professionals.

Participants learn to implement sustainable design, adopt circular material use, reduce the environmental impact of operations, embrace digitalisation, develop entrepreneurial competences, and strengthen people management and resilience skills, all while maintaining artistic excellence.

Through an engaging, practice-oriented approach that blends theory with hands-on application, INSPIRE fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, empowering cultural professionals to address real-world environmental challenges and lead the performing arts towards a more sustainable future.
